ROVEEN PERMAL

Experience: Roveen is a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer in Fiji, with over 21 years of experience in the Construction Industry in Fiji. Roveen has a strong technical background having wide exposure to varies projects spanning from Buildings, Civic Development, Hospitality Industry and Maintenance Upgrades. His in-depth knowledge and understanding in the construction industry enables him to produce high quality work for the clients. He is the Managing Director of Permal Consultants Limited and his focus is to establish and grow long term relationships with the construction market in Fiji.

Roveen is well vested with seismic design which is a key consideration for structures design in Fiji.

 

 

RAVINESH SINGH

Role: Assistant Project Manager/Graduate Engineer

Qualifications: Bachelor of Civil Engineering – NIT, India

Skills: Civil/ Structural Design, Project Management, Constructability Planning, Management & Supervision

Memberships: MFIE

Experience: Ravi has almost a decade of experience and has been Involved in the edition of project reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs. Inspected constructed buildings as per its design standard and specifications for awarding cyclone certificates.

RUTH MUDREILAGI

Role: Assistant Project Manager/Engineering Technician

Qualifications: Diploma of Civil Engineering – FNU, Fiji

Skills: Civil/ Structural Engineering management and supervision.

Memberships: MFIE

Experience: Ruth is fairly new to the Engineering field with 2+ years of experience. Since joining the company as an attaché and as a Diplomate Engineer, she has been involved in a number of projects undertaken by the company like the Structural Assessment of the WAF National Water Lab Building Kinoya Depot, ILTB Head Office Structural Assessment, FNPF Ganilau House Level 3 Structural Assessment, RUPS Complex Labasa, FHL Tower Construction Lift Brace and Facades Site Inspections. She has also carried out Cyclone Certification for residential homes, site inspections, EI reports, structural reviews, fee proposals & lodging of drawings to local authorities. Ruth has been instrumental in carrying out structural assessments of buildings such as the ILTB HeadQuarters – Level 3, WAF Water Laboratory – Kinoya and the FNU MB Hall – Derrick Campus to name a few

PETERO QALO 

Role: Senior Draftsman

Qualifications: Diploma of Civil Engineering – FNU, Fiji

Skills: Structural Drafting and Documentation, Drawing Coordination, Structural Detailing 

Experience: Pete brings 22+ years of experience in the construction industry in Fiji. He has predominantly been involved in the Structural Engineering documentation phase of various projects. Some key projects which Pete has successfully completed as a Lead Structural Drafter include National Stadium, Grand Pacific Hotel, New Suva Remand Centre, Momi Bay Redevelopment, Nadi, Tappoo City, Lautoka. These projects combined portfolio is in excess of $350 million.

 

Pete has worked on a variety of projects including multi-storey residential buildings, resorts, condominiums, industrial, commercial and sports complexes.

SAILOSI GUKIBAU 

Role: Intermediate Draftsman/Engineering Technician

Skills: Structural Drafting and Documentation, Drawing Coordination, Structural Detailing 

Experience: Sai has 6+ years of experience in the construction industry in Fiji. He has predominantly been involved in the Structural Engineering documentation phase of various projects. Sai was instrumental in the documentation of various rehabilitation projects as a result of cyclone Winston. Sai has experience in projects such as Architectural Drafting, Civil Drafting, Structural Drafting, Project Management and Construction Supervision.

RAJNEEL SHARMA 

Role: Assistant Project Manager/Engineering Technician

Skills: Construction Quality Control, Geotechnical Investigations and Foundation Designs, Construction Management, Site Supervision/Inspector, Tender Documentation, Progress Claims and Reporting

Experience: Rajneel has 8 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, focusing on delivering projects from feasibility through design, construction, and final handover. He has worked on a wide range of projects, including school buildings, public facilities, and large-scale developments, demonstrating a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. His innovative approach and teamwork have been key to his success across various industries.

  • Certificate IV in Project Management (2019)
  • Certificate in Basic First Aid (2012)

AJOTISH KUMAR 

Role: Graduate Engineer

Skills: Leadership experience, Team-player, People skills, Innovative and a Complex problem solver

Experience: Ajotish is a Graduate Structural/Civil Engineer with experience across a variety of projects, from structural design and site inspections to preparing engineering reports. His hands-on experience includes working on large-scale resort refurbishments, cyclone certification for industrial facilities, and detailed inspections for various construction projects. Ajotish’s strong academic background, combined with his leadership experience as Deputy Head Boy during his school years, showcases his potential as a capable and innovative engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Honors – First Class), Fiji National University (2019-2022)

TANIELA CAMA WAQA

Role: Intermediate Draftsman/Engineering Technician

Skills: Design Management (AutoCAD), Structural Drafting and Documentation, Drawing Coordination and Structural Detailing, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Structural Façade Inspections and Project Management Support

Experience: Taniela has 4 years of experience in the construction industry, primarily focused on structural engineering documentation. He has contributed to a range of projects, including multi-storey buildings, resorts, industrial complexes, and sports facilities. His expertise spans the drafting of architectural, civil, and structural drawings, as well as liaising with local authorities for approvals. Taniela is skilled in design coordination, site supervision, and reporting on construction progress to senior engineers and project managers.

Qualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering (2018-2020)
